I am a Psychological Assistant practicing in Old Town San Diego. My training and experience allow me to assist clients who need healing from current crisis situations and/or painful childhood experiences or abuse. By creating an environment that encourages growth relationally and invites God into the transformation process, I effectively counsel individuals and facilitate small groups.

I specialize in working with individuals and families on:

relationship/intimacy and friendship issues	childhood trauma/abuse - sexual, physical, verbal
emotional and behavioral problems	marriage/premarital
anxiety, phobias, shyness issues	parenting skills
depression/grief	singles wanting a mate

The following are some of the specialized treatment methods that I use:

· Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor, a powerful mind-body approach to emotional well-being

· Somatic Experiencing, a short-term naturalistic approach to the resolution and healing of trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine

· Healing prayer

· EMDR, a technique for treating anxiety, stress and trauma

Redecision therapy

I am known to be inspirational, compassionate, perceptive and supportive. I am happily married (and I'm still in marriage counseling) and have a nine-year-old son.
